OK, guys I planned another ride for Monday, July 4th. I'd like to start this ried early, 9:30am. Any objections, let's post them and talk about it. I'd like to do it early.
The toughest part of this ride is in the first 20 miles anyway, so everyone will be challenged. Let's look at the Elevation chart for the whole ride:

Both routes stay together for about 12 miles, till Dorbrook Park, then whomever wants, can turn tail and go home. The others can ride a great 20 mile loop through Colts Neck. to complete 40 miles. Rolling hills, no steep climbs. We should go fast.
Please everyone come ready. Gloves, hats, shirts, etc. Look like a team. If you have a pup do it at home. 100lbs is all you need.

Psssssssst . I got a flat.
Saturday June 25 was very confusing . In between the yelling and the Tito's, this is what I figured happened with our ride.
We started out great. The rain was gone, most people showed up at 10am, and everyone came properly equipped - except those who didn't. I need my son's helmet back. And his gloves.
Levy was late. no doubt waiting for Freddie to get his, gloves, helmet, water bottle, pump the tires. Stuff you do at 9:30, not 10:15. Eveyone met up on Ocean Venue, and off we went....

East on Deal Road, north on Green Grove - we lost Laboz, GZ, and Dayan. Laboz got a FLAT. Two broken tubes later, he had to walk home. 5 miles on the bike, 5 miles walking. Good workout!
I don't know what happened to Dayan and the rest, I'm sure you all made it home happy and content.
Owe rode past Shafto road, started moving on Wayside, then a pothole - BAM! Ray gets a pinch flat. Freddie, Phil and I stay behind to help him out.
After 20 minutes fussing with the flat, we rode north on Wayside - expecting to catch up to the rest of the group.
When Ray got the flat, I had yelled to everyone else, "Go to the end of the road, wait at Kings Highway" Simple enough. But when we got to Kings Highway 10 miles later - no one was there. Turns out Missry had some brains and an iphone. He lead everyone home through Navesink and Rumson.
The route wasn't that hard, everyone would have made it. Except if you couldn't , and you have to walk your fancy bike up the hill... Maybe a recumbent would have been easier. anyway...
So, Freddy, Phil, Ray, and I had a great ride up red Hill Road, Holmdell, Colts Neck. 40 miles rolling hills and bridges. Fantastic ride. No Wind. You all missed it.
I want updates. What happened to everyone?
