This week we're gonna take it easy. Down the shore, up around the Manasquan Inlet, and then back west and north home. 35 miles from Allenhurst.

Damn, you guys are fast. Recap of Saturday, July 2.

I don't know how you guys finished so fast. We were riding till 12:30. It's hard riding 40 miles and...  What? You turned back early and did 21? ..OK, now I get it.   Pussies.

So the Saturday ride was challenging and fast, and long, for those who stuck with it.  We covered about 40 miles. Me, Freddy, Phil, Murray, Maleh, and Captain Ray. All was going very smoothly until Maleh and Phil BOTH got flats on West Park Avenue.

Of course, I was on hand to teach the "Flat Changing on the Side of The Road with Cars Whizzing By" class.

First locate the flat. Then Use the tire levers to gently pry the tube out. Then roll the tire to the opposite side of the rim. Then remove the tube and look for .....  Just let Joey do it. OK?

I'll admit the first part kinda sucked - too many twists and turns, too many cars, and too many railroad tracks. I'll stick to more straight roads, less turns down random side streets, and less traffic.

For any decent ride, we still have to make it out west, past Rt35 and past the GSP. Count on 6 miles of traffic and cars until we get out of Deal to the farm roads further West.
